私の専門は社会学で、アメリカ人の愛国心を研究分野としています。アメリカ社会の特性と愛国心との関係を主眼に置き、特に宗教と人種が愛国心に与える影響に注目しています。分析には計量的手法と質的手法の両アプローチを用いています。主な日本語での研究業績は以下の通りです（英語の研究業績は下部をご参照ください）。

My specialization is in sociology, and my research focuses on American patriotism. I investigate the relationship between the structural characteristics of American society and the formation of patriotism, paying particular attention to the influence of Americans' religion and race on their patriotic attitudes.
