Joo-Young Jung

Joo-Young Jung (Ph.D., University of Southern California) is professor in the Department of Society, Culture and Media at International Christian University. Her research area includes social implications of new communication technologies in context of particular spatial, social, and communication environments. Her recent research focuses on communication processes and community relations in disaster and post-disaster situations such as post-disaster Fukushima and COVID-19. Her research has been published in numerous journals and edited books including Communication Research, New Media & Society, International Journal of Communication, and The Oxford Handbook of Information and Communication Technologies.

国際基督教大学 社会・文化・メディアデパートメント教授。研究分野は特定の空間的、社会的、およびコミュニケーション環境における新しいコミュニケーション・メディアの社会的影響。最近の研究は災害後の福島や新型コロナウイルスにおけるコミュニケーションプロセスとコミュニティ関係。博士（コミュニケーション、南カリフォルニア大学)。
